Since the beginning of September, changes have been implemented regarding the commission applied to trips operated by Bolt partner drivers.
Since our launch in France in 2017, we have prioritized a growth objective, which has allowed us to maintain one of the most competitive commissions on the Parisian market. Our commitment to our driver partners and passengers is at the heart of every decision we make.
Thanks to you, partner drivers, Bolt has become the second key player in the French market. In the current economic context, marked by challenges such as inflation, it becomes essential to adjust our model to guarantee our long-term competitiveness. This is why Bolt is increasing its commission by 3.8% with its partner drivers throughout France. Since September 1, drivers in Paris have seen their commission increase from 19% to 22.8%. As for the other cities in France where we are established, the commission now stands at 20%.
An increase in our pricing
Based on data from previous years and with the launch of the Rugby World Cup taking place in France during the month of September, Bolt is preparing for an increase in demand of around 50%. With this in mind, a price increase is simultaneously applied to customers and this amounts to more than 15%.
In recent years, the pricing has been increased several times until it reached the most advantageous level on the market for drivers in high season. We have also reduced the pricing in low season in order to allow you to have sufficient activity while guaranteeing the profitability of our races, the logic being to always guarantee you a constantly increasing number of customers on our platform in order to maximize your profitability.
We are convinced that the increase in commission and pricing will have real positive impacts on Bolt's development strategy in France and on your own profitability, which will allow you to support more customers and thus generate more revenue. income.
A positioning that remains competitive
Although this increase may seem significant, in reality it remains at a lower level than that seen among the main competitors and in no way diminishes Bolt's positioning in the market. By raising its commission by 3.8%, Bolt remains at a preferential level compared to the competition by guaranteeing drivers to reinvest this increase in commission in new competitive strategies in order to establish a certain sustainability of its activity and achieve its ambition to become the French leader in the industry.
